Tools, surfaces and hands
Clean habits are quiet professionalism. Clients notice them, even when they do not say so.
Wash your hands before each client and wipe down the work surface. Keep the area clear so you only have what you need within reach.
Clean tools after every use and store them so they stay clean. Ask your training provider which cleaning products suit which tools.
Keep extension hair in clean, closed packaging until you use it. Never return unused hair to the stock after it has touched another client’s head.
Look at the scalp before starting. If it looks irritated or unwell, pause and take advice.
Write a short checklist and follow it every time. If you are comparing Glasgow dates, ask what hygiene guidance the course gives.
Message the provider to ask which Glasgow date has a place, what is in the starter kit and how to get there.
